Privacy Policy

Checklist respects your privacy.

This app is designed to work primarily offline and stores user-created checklist data locally on the device.

1. Information We Collect

Checklist does not require account creation.

Checklist does not automatically collect, transmit, or sell personal information such as:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • precise location
  • contacts
  • photos
  • messages

The app stores only the content you create inside the app, such as:

  • checklist templates
  • checklist items
  • app state needed for proper operation

This information is stored locally on your device.

Activity Reports During Closed Testing

During the closed testing phase, the app may allow users to manually generate and send an Activity Report.

The app does not automatically transmit activity logs to the developer. An Activity Report is generated and sent only when the user explicitly chooses to use the Activity Report feature.

An Activity Report may include:

  • timestamps of app actions
  • generic action codes, such as checklist_started, checklist_item_completed, or checklist_cancelled

An Activity Report does not include:

  • checklist names
  • checklist item text
  • user-created checklist content
  • name
  • email address
  • device identifiers
  • account identifiers
  • precise location

Activity Reports are used only for closed testing purposes and may be retained until the app is approved for production access on Google Play, unless earlier deletion is requested by the user.

2. How We Use Information

The locally stored information is used only to provide the app's functionality, including:

  • creating and editing checklist templates
  • running checklists
  • restoring app state after interruption or restart
  • exporting or sharing checklist content when explicitly requested by the user

Activity Reports, when manually sent by the user during closed testing, may be used to:

  • verify real app usage during closed testing
  • identify usability issues
  • improve app functionality

3. Data Sharing

Checklist does not automatically transmit user-created checklist content to the developer or external servers.

If the user chooses to use Android's standard sharing features, selected content may be shared by the user with third-party apps or services of their choice. The developer does not control how those third-party apps or services process data after the user shares it.

If the user manually sends an Activity Report during closed testing, the report is transmitted only as part of that user-initiated action.

Activity Reports are not sold and are not shared with third parties.

Checklist does not sell user data.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device using app storage mechanisms such as local files and app preferences.

The developer does not have remote access to locally stored checklist content.

Activity Reports sent during closed testing may be temporarily stored by the developer until the app is approved for production access, unless earlier deletion is requested by the user.

5. Data Retention

Your checklist data remains on your device until:

  • you delete it inside the app,
  • you clear the app's storage,
  • or you uninstall the app.

If the app is removed from the device, locally stored data may also be removed by the operating system.

Activity Reports sent during closed testing may be retained until the app is approved for production access on Google Play, unless earlier deletion is requested by the user.

6. Data Deletion

Because the app does not use user accounts or cloud storage in the current version, checklist data deletion is handled locally on your device.

You can delete local checklist data by:

  • removing checklist content inside the app,
  • clearing app storage in Android settings,
  • or uninstalling the app.

To request deletion of an Activity Report sent during closed testing, contact:

affordableimmortality@gmail.com

7. Security

Checklist stores user-created checklist data locally and does not intentionally transmit user-created checklist content over the internet, except when the user explicitly chooses to share content using Android's standard sharing mechanisms.

Activity Reports, if sent, are transmitted only after explicit user action.

While reasonable care is taken in app design, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Purchases

If you purchase paid features through Google Play, payment processing is handled by Google Play and is subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Checklist does not process or store your full payment card information.

9. Children

Checklist is not specifically directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future. Any changes will be reflected in the updated version of this policy with a new effective date.
